Dame Fortune smiled on the Scottish Terrier Club the day Sydney artist James Gordon became the owner of a Scottish Terrier and joined the Club.  Since the 1970s, James has illustrated the front covers of many of our Newsletters and Club Christmas cards.

James’ illustrations for the Club have depicted the Scottie in many situations and often he uses the native flora and fauna as part of his designs He is a great admirer of the work of May Gibbs and, no doubt, it was her life and work that inspired him to design the above Newsletter issue in 1979 — the 10th anniversary of May Gibbs’ death.
